PROTECTING YOUR FUTURE

Gold and Silver are on a rolling up the wall of worry. TV pundits talk about a bullion bubble but no one I know is invested or speculating in precious metals. A bubble is when everyONE in the universe is a self proclaimed expert. When your maids are rush out of the house to go to the money changer to buy USD's you're watching a bubble (in USD). When all your mates are buying second homes on margin and telling you about their real estate investment profits in a few years you're watching a bubble (in real estate). Both scenerios were easily seen in Jakarta at the end of the'90's.
First everyone with income was buying second homes because they were such good "investments". After the currency crash most of those people walked away from their "investments" with massive loses. Then the USD was king - maids were cashing out of Rp to buy USD's. From '99 to '10 the USD has lost nearly 50% of its value against the Rp. In '98 the bubble burst, from '99 the air has been let out more slowly from the USD but the same end result for "investors".

So an investment bubble can not be a bubble until all or most of the uneducated are involved.

Gold and silver will eventually become the mother of all bubbles but it ain't happening yet and precious metals offers the best place for you to insure your future and come out a winner.
Since it's bear bottom in 1999 gold has risen from USD 280 odd to today almost USD 1,340. It's been the trade of the decade as many predicted.

After having my nest egg wiped out by being an "expert" in Jakarta real estate in 1998 I started a search to learn what I could have done to have protected myself and my family from that currency crash carnage.

Protecting oneself from a market crash is not that difficult. I was lucky to meet investment legend Jim Rogers in Jakarta in 2001. He pointed me to commodities and farming. He's been right - when Jim talks listen and do what he says. Getting Jim and other experts' advise through the internet has never been easier.

The goal of this blog is to help Indonesian dwellers to find good investment advice.
